About the course
The Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card, General Induction Card) course is a Nationally Recognised qualification and is a compulsory requirement for anybody who wishes to forward their career or maintain employment in the construction industry throughout Australia.
A general construction induction card is for anyone who is employed to work on a construction site. This is a mandatory requirement to work across Australia within the construction industry. This is a SafeWork NSW training program which covers the general work health and safety information required for you to work safely on a construction site in Australia.
This unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.
It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.
Please note that on completion of the course you will be required to pay $25 to SafeWork NSW to obtain your white card. This is a mandatory requirement imposed by SafeWork NSW.
This course takes place at No 2 The Avenue Hurstville NSW 2220.
This course runs for up to 7.5 hours across 1 day, including breaks. Of the up to 7.5 hours, 6 hours will be spent in the classroom.
This is a mandatory requirement to work across Australia within the construction industry.
Also, a white card is necessary for anyone who wants to:
- Work on a construction site in any capacity.
- Work in a traffic management team on a construction worksite.
- A student wishing to complete work experience at a construction site.
- Do any casual work that happens on a construction site.
- Carry out construction work at their home as an owner-builder.
Must be of 14 years of age.
Provide ID Points that add up to 100 that satisfy SafeWork NSW ID requirements. Learn more here.

Complete a language and literacy and numeracy assessment.
For some of the courses you must be able to have the physical ability to lift objects if required, these will be no more than 10kg if you cannot you are able to ask for assistance during the course and to able to complete the assessment.
Assessments must be completed in English with no assistance, if you do need assistance you must inform Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd before you make a booking.
You will be issued with your qualification on the day if successful, you be advised by Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd on the process for White Card application in regards to the SafeWork NSW requirements.

All training and support materials are supplied by us.
When you have completed the training, you will be issued a statement of attainment from Infrastructure Training RTO 45727. You will also be issued a SafeWork NSW Statement of Training (SOT). This certificate will allow you to enter and work on a construction site under supervision until you receive your white card in the mail.

Registration to use the services.
To access the Services, you must first register for an account through our website.
As part of the registration process, or as part of your continued use of the Services, you may be required to provide personal information about yourself (such as identification or contact details), including:

- Telephone number
- Email address/Address of residence in Australia
- USI/not required if in Australia within six weeks.
- Verify Passport or drivers’ license.
You warrant that any information you give to Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd while completing the registration process will always be accurate, correct and up to date.
Once you have completed the registration process, you will be a registered Learner of the RTO ('Learner') and agree to be bound by the Terms.
You may not use the Services and may not accept the Terms if:
- You are under the age of the course requirment to form a binding contract with Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd; or
- you are a person barred from receiving the Services under the laws of Australia or other countries including the country in which you are resident or from which you use the Services.
Your obligations as a learner
As a Learner, you agree to comply with the following:
- You will use the Services only for purposes that are permitted by:
- The Terms; and any applicable law, regulation or generally accepted practices or guidelines in the relevant jurisdictions.
- You have the sole responsibility for protecting the confidentiality of your password and/or email address. Use of your password by any other person may result in the immediate cancellation of the Services.
- Any use of your registration information by any other person, or third parties, is strictly prohibited.
- Access and use of the Website is limited, non-transferable and allows for the sole use of the Website by you for the purposes of Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd providing the Services.
Payment
Where the option is given to you, you may make payment for the Services (the 'Services Fee ') by way of:
- Credit Card via Stripe or Bank Deposit through the Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd
Payments made during your use of the Services are made using Stripe or Bank Deposit.
In using the Website, the Services or when making any payment in relation to your use of the Services, you warrant that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the Stripe terms and conditions which are available on their website.
You acknowledge and agree that where a request for the payment of the Services Fee is returned or denied, for whatever reason, by your financial institution or is unpaid by you for any other reason, then you are liable for any costs, including banking fees and charges, associated with the Services Fee.
You agree and acknowledge that Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd can vary the Services Fee at any time.
Refund Policy
Students, who give notice to cancel their enrolment 14 business days or more prior to the commencement of a program, will be entitled to a full refund of fees paid. Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd Student Handbook Version 2. December 2023.
Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment less than
7 business days to 14 business days prior to the commencement of a program will be entitled to a 75% refund of fees paid. The amount retained (25%) by Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd is required to cover the costs of staff and resources which will have already been committed based on the student’s initial intention to undertake the training.
For students who cancel 7 business days or less prior to the commencement of the course payment is not refundable.
Students who cancel their enrolment after a training program has commenced will not be entitled to a refund of fees. Where a student has purchased a text or training workbooks and subsequently cancels, Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd will not refund monies for the text. Payment method Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd accepts payment for fees using: - Electronic Funds Transfer (account details available on request) - Payment in cash is not accepted all bookings online via electronic transfer.
On receipt of booking a conformation email with tax invoice will be sent, outlining your chosen course and inform of course requirements.
Statutory cooling-off period
The Standards for Registered Training Organisations require Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd Student Handbook Version 2. December 2023 Training to inform persons considering enrolment of their right to a statutory cooling off period. A statutory cooling off period (which is 10 days) is a period provided to a consumer to allow them to withdraw from a consumer agreement, where that agreement was established through unsolicited marketing or sales tactics. These include tactic such as door-to-door sales and telemarketing. A statutory cooling off period allows a consumer to withdraw from a sales agreement within 10 days of having received a sale contract without penalty. It must be noted that Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd does not engage in unsolicited marketing or sales tactics and therefore a statutory cooling off period in not applicable to our students who have enrolled into a program. For refund option in other circumstances, students must refer to the above refund policy. Our Guarantee to Clients If Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd cancels or ceases to provide training, Infrastructure Training must issue a full refund for any services not yet provided.
Changes to terms and conditions
Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd reserves the right to amend the conditions of the student’s enrolment at any time. If amendments are made that effect the student’s enrolment the student will be informed 7 business days prior to changes taking effect. Students then have 28 business days to submit an appeal from the date they were informed of the decision. Further information about Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd Student Handbook Version 2. Protection under Australian Consumer Law
As a student undertaking a vocational education and training course, you are protected under Australian Consumer Law and under State and Territory consumer protection laws. These protections include areas such as unfair contract terms, the consumer guarantees, to statutory a cooling-off period and unscrupulous sales practices. Acceptance of the Terms
You accept the Terms by remaining on the Website. You may also accept the Terms by clicking to accept or agree to the Terms where this option is made available to you by Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd in the user interface.
By completing an enrolment, you certify that the information provided is true and correct.
You further certify that you have:
- I have reviewed the terms and conditions provided to me as part of my enrolment.
- I have accessed and reviewed the Student Handbook published on the website and accept Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd rights and obligations.
- I have reviewed and accept the Schedule of Fees and Payments and have been informed of the refund policy.
- reviewed the Course Brochure and have been informed of and accept the training and assessment services to be provided and the units of competency to be completed.
- I accept during training, photos or video footage may be taken of me. I give permission for Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd to use these for improving training resources, advertising, and reports.
- I have reviewed the National VET Data Privacy Policy Notice provided in the Student Handbook and acknowledge that Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies will use my personal information in accordance with this notice.
All requests for a refund or cancellation must be emailed to info@infrastructure-training.com.
No refund is applicable for the course fees due to the failure of the course to be completed once the course has begun.
These Terms are copyright. Apart from any use permitted under the Copyright Act 1968, no part may be reproduced by any process, nor may any other exclusive right be exercised, without the permission of Infrastructure Training.
Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd takes the privacy of learners very seriously and complies with all legislative requirements. These include the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (effective from 12th March 2014).
Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd will retain personal information about you relating to your enrolment with us. We will also retain records of your training activity and are required to do this in accordance with the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011.
Your personal information is retained within our secure hard copy filling system and our computer systems. Your information is collected via the enrolment form and through your completion of administrative related forms and based on your training outcomes. Electronic data retained on our computer systems is protected via virus protection software and firewall protection. Our data is backed up continuously to our server which is secure.
Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd is required by the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 to securely retain your retain records of AQF certification documentation issued for a period of 30 years;
We are required by law to make learner data available to Government agencies such as the National Centre for Vocational Education and Research or the Australian Skills Quality Authority.
In all other cases Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd will seek the written permission of the learner for such disclosure.
Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd will not disclose your information to any person or organisation unless we have written instructions from you to do so.
You have the right to access information that Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd is retaining that relates to you. Written requests for access to records may be made via email to info@infrastructure-training.com
. Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) you also have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) about the handling of your personal information. Collection of Personal Information
In general, personal information will be collected through course application and/or enrolment forms, training records, assessment records and online forms and submissions. The types of personal information collected include:
- personal details including contact details,
- employment information where relevant,
- academic history,
- statistical information about your prior education, schooling, reasons for enrolling,
- training, participation and assessment information,
- fee and payment information.
Security of Personal Information
Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd will take reasonable steps to protect and secure your Personal Information to ensure you it is protected from misuse, loss, theft, and unauthorised modification, access or disclosure other than in accordance with these terms.
Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd takes reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify any Personal Information where:
- Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd no longer needs the Personal Information for any purpose for which the personal Information may be used or disclosed by Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd; and
- Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd is not required by or under an Australian law, regulation or a court/tribunal order, to retain the Personal Information.
Disclosure of Personal information
As part of your enrolment, you will be asked to declare your acceptance of the terms of the service contract and the refund conditions and confirm that you have been fully advised of the fees, refund conditions and conditions of enrolment and agree to be a student at Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd.
You agree that it is your responsibility to retain a copy of this written agreement as supplied by Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd and receipts of any payments of tuition fees or non-tuition fees.
You agree that under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, Infrastructure Training Pty Ltd is required to collect personal information about you and to disclose that personal information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).
Personal information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for the following purposes:
- issuing a VET Statement of Attainment or VET Qualification, and populating Authenticated VET Transcripts;
- facilitating statistics and research relating to education, including surveys;
- understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information; and
- administering VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.
- NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER's website at ncver.edu.au).
